So before Christmas, CES and the snow, we caught up with Ben Smith the founder of PRmoment.com to see what makes him tick.

RPR – So tell us a bit about your background before you set up PRmoment.com

PRM – I’ve worked in publishing for over 10 years, at Archant and then at Haymarket, yes on PRWeek. I then worked at Lansons Communications for a couple of years before deciding to set up PRmoment.com

RPR – So what led you to set up PRmoment?

PRM – A number of things. First of all I’ve always wanted to run my own business. Secondly, I’ve commuted from Winchester to London for the last 6 years and I didn’t want to continue to do this indefinitely. And most
importantly I believe that PRmoment can do something different and something fun that offers PR people an interesting perspective on the world of communications.

RPR – Who would you most like to interview in the PR world and what three questions are you dying to ask!

PRM – You’d need to ask my editor Daney Parker this one. But the likes of Alistair Campbell and Max Clifford hold the most interest for me.

RPR – So where do you see PRmoment.com in the future?

PRM – I’m afraid I like to keep my cards fairly close to my chest, but clearly, the site as it stands is very much a first step. We have some significant changes in the pipeline and we believe these will be a bit of a
game changer.
