Thursday 24th June is the 15th anniversary of the MacWorld Awards and we can’t wait. It’s THE event in the UK Mac calendar, recognising the products and vendors that have made a significant contribution throughout the past year. Held at the Northumberland Hotel, a beautiful new venue in Trafalgar Square, the Ranieri team is looking forward to rubbing shoulders with the “who’s who” of the Mac World.
We thought it was high time we turned the tables on the media to find out more about the journalists we deal with on a daily basis. We therefore had the recent pleasure of interviewing Nick Spence, a freelance journalist who predominately writes for MacWorld. Nick has been freelancing for seven years, previous to that he worked as a media monitor, reading newspapers and magazines for a living. Nick now writes for the magazines he used to read.
Three of the team ventured to the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) in London last night for the 2009 Macworld Awards, with everything crossed for the four Ranieri clients who were nominated.
Whilst at MacWorld 09 in San Francisco, as well as meeting Lara the new Marketing Director at Brenthaven, she also showed us their cool new bespoke bag flaps:
Well I’m back from another trip to the annual Macworld and CES shows in San Francisco/las Vegas respectively. As I finally catch up with email I’m reflecting on whether the investment of flights, hotels and taking out a number of other Ranieri’s to the show was worth the hassle. Admittly we always have a good time, as PR people how could you not enjoy San Francisco and Las Vegas, especially when you have the chance to take out some old press friends plus meet some existing and hopefully new clients.
New recruit Andy Crisp has got us all switched onto the latest social media, web 2.0 phenomenon Twitter. It took us a while to wonder what was going on but now we’d be lost without it!
