The Solio on thin ice…
Thursday, July 9th, 2009Has anyone been watching the series on BBC Two called ‘On Thin Ice’? It follows Ben Fogle and James Cracknell on a gruelling adventure to reach the South Pole. It took them 18 days to ski across 474 miles of frozen wilderness, finally arriving at the pole on the 22nd of January 09. It is an unbelievable achievement…coming back without frostbite is a feat in itself when at times the temperature dropped below -50c!!
