Is iRobot becoming a reality?
Published - Monday, 16 March, 2009Saturday night, sad as it may be, I watched iRobot, now its not the best film in the world…ok far from it, but I think a lot of films these days, including this one, give a good insight into future technologies. Take Minority Report for example, with its interactive touch screen back in 2002…now look at Microsoft Surface ok, so a little way to go, but its genius.
This morning, following my lonely saturday night in with Will Smith and talking, walking robots, the lovely folks at engadget posted this link http://www.engadget.com/2009/03/16/japans-hrp-4c-fashion-model-robot-unveiled-already-harassed/ yes, you read it right…Japan’s HRP-4C ‘fashion model robot’ has been unveiled. She looks quite realistic albeit a little pasty, but according to engadget she costs a whopping $200,000 to take home and she doesn’t even cook or clean, CRAZY!
Think I’m going to stick to chick flicks, they seem to be the most unrealistic of film genres.
