How long did it take you to get home last night?

What the hell happened last night at 16.30? A few of the guys here were starting to say ‘I think we better make a move, its snowing again…’, then the reports on twitter seemed to indicate that London, then Hemel Hempstead, then Berkhamsted, one by one started to get engulfed by snow…

A quick 17.00 conference call with a client in the States and off we left around 17.30. Well when I say ‘left’, I turned left out of the office and there I stayed for around another hour! After that wait we gently moved inch by inch down the road.

I eventually arrived home around three hours later…a journey that usually takes around 15 minutes, unbelievable. I thought this was bad until I got email after email about my colleagues being stuck until the early hours of the morning, ouch!

How does this still happen in this country? Complete melt down with less than an inch of snow?
