Glad to see the back of 2008.

Its not often I lose enthusiasm, but the second half of this year really has been doom and gloom and the news just keeps getting worst…

Firstly the recession taking hold and everything that has come with that, then the news that our Xmas party is off (an event we have paid for incidentally so dilemma is do we pay out again…), and now Woolworth’s going down!

I must admit, the recession, the Xmas party, house prices and everything else, I still remained positive, but the possibility of no more Woolworth’s? That I really find quite depressing…where am I now going to get my ‘pick-n-mix’?

Those of us who are 30 something, will have probably grown up with Woolworth’s, included trips to the fish counter with my parents…(I bet the young AE’s of this world didn’t know Woolworth’s used to sell food and have things like fish counters! Even my wife had her first job on the Woolworth’s record counter…

Anyway, it’s late and I’m rambling, but I still remain optimistic about 2009, so bring on the New Year and CES, looking at new gadgets always cheers me up!
