The product is available exclusively through Apple and since the launch it has hit newspapers, magazines, websites, blogs and twitter just about everywhere! Much like Apple in the mp3 market, my client Etymotic has the unique advantage of being the defaqto of in-ear headphones. Most journalists use Etymotic for their personal music listening, so when it is time for us to announce a new product, the tech journo’s are all ears (pardon the rather cringe worthy pun!).
We recently launched the hf2 hands free, high fidelity in-ear headphones (pictured below) that have since been given the title by many in the industry as the best iPhone headphones on the market. During the initial launch, the headphones were reviewed in Mail on Sunday, News of the World, The Mirror, Metro, The People, Stuff, T3, Loaded, MacFormat and lots of other top media titles. Since then, Apple UK has picked up on the hype and agreed to stock the product in stores and online.
 Here is a picture of MacFormat’s stand at MacExpo in October, when Etymotic gave away a set of hf2s along with an iPhone 3G Pay as you go to a lucky prize winner. We still haven’t received a confirmation email to claim the prize from the winner, so fingers crossed, it never materialises and I can keep them!!
