As some of you know I’m spending alot of time at the moment at the Oxford john Radcliffe hospital because of the baby.

Whilst here I have slot time to kill so I make calls outside, blog using my iPhone etc.

Saturday night, sad as it may be, I watched iRobot, now its not the best film in the world…ok far from it, but I think a lot of films these days, including this one, give a good insight into future technologies. Take Minority Report for example, with its interactive touch screen back in 2002…now look at Microsoft Surface ok, so a little way to go, but its genius.

As some of you know I’ve recently become a father and I’m on paternity…therefore I have more time to watch things on TV that I wouldn’t necessarily watch if I was commuting backwards and forwards to work…but tonight I was watching ‘The One Show’ before Enders…

Man I’m sooo jealous, living in the sticks has its benefits, like cost saving, tranquility and sheep. It does now however, have its down sides…Missing out on this amazing one off … UKTJPR meets Come Dine With Me.

American A-List celebrity Paris Hilton last night rocked up to Nokia’s launch event for its ‘iPhone competitor‘ and in true style failed to disappoint onlookers! Nokia ran the risk of the blonde bombshell stealing the limelight from its product launch, and these worries were far from abolished when Paris turned up in a diamond encrusted pink taxi! Amusing for some, but our friend Gordon Kelly, TrustedReviews.com News Editor was less than impressed!

Ok…So last night my cousin was raving about his new phone and being that he’s 14 and I’m a tech snob  I thought nothing of it. That was until I heard the sound of a loud drum kit coming from the kitchen… having an inquisitive mind (ok nosey)  I went to see what all the fuss was about. Lo and behold there was my cousin shaking this phone and making the sound of a drum. Of course I had to give it a go… and yes… I was soon addicted.

As much as I hate to say it, I do get presents that I’m not ever going to use…in fact they could even be described as a waste of money…there, I got it off my chest!

Its not often I lose enthusiasm, but the second half of this year really has been doom and gloom and the news just keeps getting worst…

Firstly the recession taking hold and everything that has come with that, then the news that our Xmas party is off (an event we have paid for incidentally so dilemma is do we pay out again…), and now Woolworth’s going down!

I must admit that I do admire ‘Plane Stupid’ for their actions in bringing climate change to our attention, and the fact they are really committed to their cause, but is it really the best way to go? Bringing home their point by upsetting everyone else who are minding their own business?

Ranieri Communcations sponsored the T3 Gadget Magazine annual winter (Christmas) party which was held at The Light Bar in Shoreditch last night.

We thought it was only right to turn up for a few drinks, enjoy the canapes and rock the dance floor! Ranieri Communications even had its own cocktail made up which we named ‘Inquisitive’

This Thursday, Ranieri are teaming up with the T3 Gadget magazine for its annual ‘legendary’ Winter (Xmas) party! The event takes place at The Light Bar on Shoreditch High Street and we will be there in force to dance the night away!

Some of you may be aware, that the waters off of the Somali cost are the most dangerous in the world! They account for a third of the world’s pirates…

Last week giant Saudi oil tanker; Sirius Star become the largest vessel ever to be hijacked by Somali pirates off the Kenyan coast. The Sirius Star was carrying a cargo of two million barrels of oil – a quarter of Saudi Arabia’s daily output – worth more than $100m (£67m). These pirates are heavily armed with rocket-propelled grenades and AK-47s and are known to receive tip-offs from contacts at ports in the Gulf of Aden.

Hello there…

Every now and then being a PR gets you down, clients are sometimes too demanding, coverage comes out wrong, you don’t get enough review units to take advantage of some potential press opportunities etc…

However, when things go right and a great clipping/piece of coverage comes out, it still gets me excited!

Last week, Pietro, Louise and I braved the ferry to visit the portable office tool specialists I.R.I.S. at its offices just outside Brussels. After the initial shock of a 5am start, we enjoyed a clear drive to Dover before a slightly hectic crossing…we hadn’t taken half-term into account!

Bad news people, I’m afraid I missed the Flackenhacks…

I bought a ticket after Rob Kerr reccomended I do so, so I could hobnob with all the big PR boys and girls, but it seems an act of God intervened and decided that I shouldn’t…
